Taylor Swift Praised For Testimony In Groping Case

"Let's be clear about something from the onset - inappropriate touching is offensive, it's wrong and should never be tolerated", Mueller's lawyer, Gabriel McFarland, told jurors.

Swift was called as a witness by the attorney representing Mueller. "I did not want her to have to live through the endless memes and GIFs that tabloid media and Internet trolls would come up with", the singer's mother said on the stand.

Swift has been battling it out in court with local radio DJ David Mueller over claims that he grabbed her bare behind during a 2013 meet-and-greet. "I heard it from my daughter's mouth", Swift told the jury.

Her lawyer, J. Douglas Baldridge, suggested during cross-examination of Mueller on Tuesday that the DJ was angry at having to wait in line with Swift's young fans for the picture-taking session. Coomer called it a lie. Mueller was the first to take the stand, describing his encounter with Swift as "weird and awkward". Mueller claims Swift's team is the reason why he lost his job.

Mueller, then a host on the top-rated radio station KYGO, had been invited to meet the star before the show.

Andrea Swift, Taylor's mother, testified in front of the court on the third day of the trial.

The pop superstar testified for about an hour on Thursday, sometimes using unflinching language in giving her account of what happened.

She also rejected the assumption that she misidentified Mr Mueller, saying: "I'm not going to allow you or your client to say I am to blame".

Swift said Mueller and his then-girlfriend, both of whom posed for a photo with her, appeared to be "drunk" at the meet-and-greet.

When she contradicted Mueller's testimony.

Austin Swift, the pop star's younger brother, arrived to court via the main entrance on Thursday, marking his first appearance at the trial. She also said that no one else could have groped her. Lena Dunham praised her "fierce" testimony. "My understanding was that he had put his hand under her dress and grabbed her rear end". To be frank, lots of people don't believe women who say they've been assaulted and/or abused.

"The 27-year-old told the court there was:no doubt" in her mind DJ David Mueller reached under her skirt and fondled her backside during a photo opportunity backstage at concert in 2013.

Dent and Simbeck are listed as possible witnesses in the Denver trial.

"Gabe, this is a photo of him with his hand up my skirt - with his hand on my a*s", she said. I didn't want to hurt Ms.

McFarland also noted that Swift was closer to Melcher than Mueller in the photo.

Mueller sued Swift, seeking up to $3 million because he was sacked after Swift accused him of groping her. Swift counter-sued Mueller for just one dollar, to prove a point.

"I felt him grab on to my ass cheek under my skirt".

Swift is expected to testify, along with members of her entourage.

Swift has testified that "it was a definite grab". She said that she will not "say anything different". Swift wasn't having any of this victim blaming and said, "I didn't have a reaction to a odd person I didn't know losing his job. that was a product of his decisions, not mine".

A federal judge is weighing whether or not Taylor Swift should still be named in a case where a former DJ alleges she falsely accused him of groping her, preventing him from finding another radio job and causing him to lose out on a $150,000 a year job.
