Forecasters for the National Weather Service are predicting cooler and showery weather for the next handful of days. It will be close enough to keep it cloudy with periods of rain and thunderstorms.

It'll be cloudy overnight with a chance of more showers and thunderstorms. It's going to cool down some Wednesday with afternoon with highs in the 70s and low 80s.

Sunday's high is expected to be about 85 and Monday's high should hit 75 degrees, the weather service says.

FRIDAY: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies develop for Friday afternoon, with a high of 80 degrees. West wind 5 to 10 miles per hour becoming north in the morning. Lows will be in the lower 70s with southwest winds ranging from 5 to 10 miles per hour.

Tuesday should be the last day of widespread showers and storms. Some of the storms could be severe. Cloudy, with a high near 67.

Tomorrow: Mostly sunny. Wind: N/NE 5-10. Up to a quarter of an inch of total rainfall is predicted. Tuesday night will also have showers and thunderstorms likely. East wind around 7 miles per hour. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. A small shower chance is still present. Cloudy, with a high near 63. Spotty showers with an isolated thunderstorm possible. Cloudy, with a high near 70.

Thursday Night: A chance of showers before 9pm.

Tonight: Clear to mostly clear.
