AAP govt removes Kapil Mishra as minister, inducts 2 new faces

Former water resources minister and AAP leader Kapil Mishra on Sunday alleged he saw Health Minister Satyendra Jain give Rs 2 crore to party chief Arvind Kejriwal.

Mishra said Satyendra Jain had given Rs. 2 crore cash to Kejriwal.

Mishra after being sacked taking a jibe at Kejriwal and his colleagues such as Satyendar Jain, said he did not favour his relatives or daughter. "I am not going to stay quite on this issue", he said while addressing the media here prior to meeting Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal.

Simultaneously, several junior AAP ministers began accusing the party's senior leadership of being disconnected with ground level problems.

Mishra added that he informed Delhi's Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) about this transaction immediately. "By removing Kapil Mishra from the cabinet, they (AAP) proved that the one who will talk about scams will go out", said Tiwari. Mishra had, along with Kumar Vishwas, gone against the Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) stand that Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) were the reason behind the party's loss in the polls. The party had momentarily averted a crisis last week as it reached a compromise with Kumar Vishwas who had hinted that he may quit the party and appointed him as party's Rajasthan convener.

"I am the only minister with no corruption charges".

Mishra was Water Minister in Delhi government.

Meanwhile, Rajendra Gautam and Kailash Gahlot have been included in the Delhi Cabinet. I was being praised initially by every AAP leader. "Any further actions would be taken only after the AAP submits its reply", a ministry official said. "And now today the kind of allegations (he's making), what can I say", Sisodia told reporters.

On Sunday, AAP's Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan had accused Vishwas of being a "BJP-RSS agent" and planning a coup in the party. The charges made by Mishra are very serious and can not be dismissed.

He added that two persons have been included in the Cabinet now, Kailash Gahlot and Rajendra Gautam for a post which was vacant.

Mishra's allegations prompted calls for Kejriwal government's resignation from opposition parties BJP and Congress. Delhi Congress chief Ajay Maken said these are serious charges and time is right to start an investigation against Kejriwal.
