Joshua calls out Tyson Fury after beating Klitschko

It never happened in the decade when the prosaic nature of his heavyweight domination quite underwhelmed boxing but, at the age of 41, Wladimir Klitschko belatedly earned proper appreciation for his greatness on Saturday.

Not only did the 27-year-old retain the IBF World Heavyweight Championship, Joshua remains undefeated as a professional, with 19 victories.

Joshua moves to 19-0 and has ended all those bouts inside the distance, even if the 11th round was by far the longest he'd been taken. He is poised to take on some of the best heavyweights in the world and is willing to fight anyone.

Joshua had tipped the scales at 17 stone, 12 pounds 2 ounces (113.4 kilograms) -10 pounds more than Klitschko and his heaviest ever pre-fight weight - at Friday's weigh-in.

The British fighter was floored in the sixth round but fought back to drop the Ukrainian with a brutal combination of punches late in the eleventh.

After the sixth, the pace slowed a bit, but in the 11th round, Joshua landed a a vicious uppercut that hurt Klitschko, followed by a hook and he went down hard. "When you go to the trenches, that's when you find out who you really are".

But the fight most fans want to see is Joshua against Hughie's cousin Tyson. "Victor takes all, considered the best man on the planet".

"As boxing states, you leave your ego at the door and you respect your opponent, so a massive shou-tout to Vladamir Klitschko for taking part".

Wladimir Klitschko was met with boos as he began his ring walk into Wembley Stadium to fight Anthony Joshua.

Speaking on BBC Radio 5 live's Sportsweek programme on Sunday morning, Wilder said: "My plans are to get the WBO belt and once I get that, if I'm given a mandatory challenger, get that out of the way and set up a mega fight early in 2018".

"It was really sad I didn't make it tonight", Klitschko said. But it was clear by the crowd's reaction as he came back to win that it was a lot more than that. By the end of the round, it was Klitschko pummeling a exhausted Joshua.

"But I don't want to take the opportunity away from British boxing to be the epicentre of world boxing, which I think we now are".

JOSEPH PARKER TRANSCRIPT: It was an exciting fight, I was excited to watch the fight and I was analysising what I could've done against both fighters. "I was planning to do it".

Joshua called out Tyson Fury after his sensational stoppage of Klitschko in front of 90,000 people.
