Destiny 2 Officially Announced By Bungie

Destiny 2 Officially Announced By Bungie

The announcement was made via the game's official Twitter account.

One of the many games that handled paid DLC and microtransactions in a way that raised many eyebrows, was Destiny, and now comes the sequel to the game - Destiny 2. It seems like the upcoming game will not be getting any subtitle as seen on the posted still image.

That particular leak pointed to a release date on September 8, which would be nearly exactly three years after the launch of the first game. Hopefully this time we'll get to explore the ruins of the Last City and have more freedom rather than being confined to the tower.

Information regarding the highly anticipated sequel to the popular game, DESTINY, has been slowly rolling out. But, we will only know whether or not the devs have changed their ways when gameplay footage surfaces, as well as the playable Beta - which is set to come out this Summer.

Back in February, Activision teased the prospect of a sequel to 2013′ Destiny, but without going into much detail.

The poster also suggests that there will again be a special PlayStation partnership for Destiny 2, as there was with the original game. Destiny 2, therefore, needs to have a much stronger sense of story. Neither Activision nor Bungie have responded to these leaks. The land beneath probably indicates The Last City, and the Destiny 2 logo sits atop the setting. There is a rumor about a potential PC version but no official confirmation has been given by Activision or Bungie. The most hilarious part of the reveal yesterday was super-sleuth fans zooming in on the image and seeing what they thought were two travelers, with one lurking behind the larger one in the foreground.

What are some of the features you guys want Bungie to introduce in its second take at the Destiny universe?

The visuals were great in the first game, but we're expecting them to kick it up a notch in the sequel.
