Whoopi Goldberg Shockingly Comes to the Defense of a Trump

I don't think that when Tiffany Trump came to New York Fashion Week shows - when so many people in fashion were staunchly supporting Hillary and were so vehemently against Trump's policies - she expected nothing to happen, and that she could just go to a show, and everyone in the industry would be accepting and welcoming. "Nobody's talking politics... you're looking at fashion". She immediately tweeted a pic of Trump sitting alone in the sought after seating area and commented, "Nobody wants to sit next to Tiffany Trump at Philipp Plein, so they moved and the seats by her are empty".

Tiffany Trump has found an unlikely friend in Whoopi Goldberg.

View co-host Sara Haines added: "It's nearly like we live in a time where people are saying because it's a Trump, it's okay to bully her".

Tiffany responded to Whoopi's offer on Twitter by thanking her and saying she'd be glad to sit next to her, too.

New York Fashion Week ends on Thursday with Marc Jacobs' show at 2 p.m. "You're buying stuff. This girl is looking at fashion, and she's just looking at fashion". "I'll find your a- and sit next to you!"

Christina Binkley, a former Wall Street Journal fashion columnist, tells PEOPLE that after the two women seated next to Trump left, the seats remained unoccupied for two minutes or less - and Trump seemed unaware.

Whoopi Goldberg would gladly sit next to Tiffany Trump at an event. TMZ reports that Plein says Trump's daughter Tiffany "did not deserve the pariah treatment" she endured at his show.

Though NYFW was more political this year than Binkley has ever seen it, she says no designers mentioned the president or the Trump administration specifically in their shows.

Why do you think everyone hates Tiffany Trump so much? Trump brought designer Andrew Warren and DJ Reya Benitez along to sit on either side of her, and she even had a secret service agent keeping watch from behind.
